Business First of Buffalo

The Federal Aviation Administration has appropriated $14 million for safety measures at Niagara Falls International Airport.
The grant, which totals $14,037,797, was awarded to the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority by the FAA for design and construction of improvements to the runway safety area.
“The Airport is one more testament to the fact that Niagara County is a good place to do business and I will do everything I can to support it,” said Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-Fairport, who announced the funding.
NFIA has three active runways, which serve general aviation, military and commercial flights.
