FORT LAUDERDALE – A terminal at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport had to be evacuated after a smoking power vault set off the fire alarm.
Airport officials say only employees were in Terminal 2 when the fire alarm sounded Sunday night, after the security checkpoint had closed.
No injuries were reported. The power vault is located outside the terminal.
About 10 arriving flights were redirected to another terminal.
