Manistee County Blacker Airport Losing Only Commercial Airline Service
Posted On: 9/19/2011
A Northern Michigan airport’s only commercial airline is flying out of the area — for good.

This spring, Frontier Airlines brought its commercial service to the Manistee County Blacker Airport.

The news comes in wake of the airport’s best summer ever – they had a record 3400 airline passengers last month.

The airport is disappointed to see the service end, but already looking for a new commercial carrier.

9&10’s Evan Dean and Photojournalist Tyler Hampton spoke to the airport manager and have the story.
