“And the whole focus was to provide information that they possibly weren’t aware of about the airport,” said David Gaines, airport director. “We talked a little bit about how the airport authority was created, how it operates.
“Then we talked about everybody’s favorite subject, which is scheduled air service and what the challenges are trying to gain that service. And I think they went away with a much better understanding.
“There are still lots of folks who believe that you can just command and demand that you get scheduled service and it shows up and it just doesn’t work like that,” Gaines said.
